Greg Seymour is a quitter. He and his wife Jen had achieved the American Dream – and subsequently discovered it was a nightmare. They had money and possessions, but no time to enjoy them. In 2013 they each left successful careers, sold everything, and moved to Costa Rica. They began accumulating adventures rather than stuff. After 4 years in Costa Rica they thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail. Most recently they spent 50 days in Europe, which included a walk of the 500-mile Camino de Santiago. Greg is the author of two books about assimilating to expat life in Costa Rica and he has co-authored, with his wife, a tip book for prospective thru-hikers of the Appalachian Trail. When Greg’s not hiking, he’s eating. When he’s not writing, he’s reading. And when he’s not on an adventure, he’s dreaming up the next one (and scaring Jen in the process).
