Gunnar Fox has a track record of teaching students how to earn top grades—while still having a life in college. He also teaches his students how to develop skill sets in the classroom that will allow them to achieve success and financial freedom in the real world. Gunnar graduated from Phillips Academy Andover and the Plan II Honors Program at the University of Texas. In college he was elected President of the Student Council, named Dean's Distinguished Graduate and received the Outstanding University Student award. Gunnar later enrolled at Stanford Law School, where he served as Associate Editor of the Stanford Law Review. KICK ASS IN COLLEGE: NO FEAR/NO STRESS/MORE A'S/MORE FUN As a student development specialist at the University of Texas, Gunnar was assigned responsibility for the "at risk" student population. Let's be honest: nobody wanted this job. These were students who had been written off and were expected to crash and burn after a year or so. History suggested that few of them would ever graduate. These were capable, clever kids with big dreams. And yet they had been defeated by college. Many of them were just hanging around like demotivated zombies, just waiting to receive their failing grades so they could go home in shame. (Think "The Walking Dead" with backpacks.) But Gunnar had other plans for them. To the amazement of most everyone, his easy-to-use toolbox of study hacks and life strategies energized these students, decreasing their failure rate by a whopping 65 percent. Not just a few of them graduated—busloads did. Pretty soon their failure rate was no higher than the rest of the student population! People said, "Holy cow, Gunnar! You oughtta write a book!" ...After a couple more years of testing and tweaking the first edition of "Kick Ass in College" was born. The new expanded second edition is now better than ever. When reasonably motivated students apply Gunnar's methods their potential for success in college and beyond is unlimited. But as Gunnar says, "Don't worry if your confidence is shaky or you feel a bit underprepared. Just bring an open mind and trust the tips. They will work for you." In addition to "Kick Ass in College" Gunnar Fox has also written the "University Success Plan" series for international students. Look for "Kick Ass at Work" to be released in 2013.
