
Harold Berman co-wrote "Doublelife" with his wife, Gayle Redlingshafer Berman. It is the first book written by a couple about an "intermarriage gone Jewish." Harold is also the author of “Jewish Adoption – Unique Issues, Practical Solutions” (Jewish Lights Publishing), and his writing has appeared in the Boston Globe, New York Jewish Week, Jerusalem Post and online. Harold and Gayle founded J-Journey, a new program providing mentoring and support to intermarried families interested in exploring becoming Jewish families - http://www.j-journey.org. Harold is the former Executive Director of the Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts, where he was responsible for a Jewish community of 12,000, overseeing a multi-million dollar fundraising and endowment campaign, community relations and Israel program, food pantry program and Holocaust museum. Harold graduated from New England Conservatory of Music and received his law degree, cum laude, from Boston College.
