As a child Harper traveled the world with her family, growing up in Virginia, Chennai, India, Singapore, and eventually finishing high school in the Chicago suburbs. Harper received degrees from Baylor University and Texas A&M University in geology and hydrogeology. Zapata, is Harper's debut novel. The romantic suspense was inspired by a project she had on the border, where the cartels let their presence be known. Harper lives in the foothills of Colorado with her husband, two dogs, and a fat cat. Her free time is spent traveling the world in search of that next story and perusing her local library for funny book covers.
