Arena battles. Hatchamob handlers. And a power-hungry prince threatening to ruin it all. Ellie is a normal villager girl. She goes to school, helps on her family farm, and is absolutely obsessed with Hatchamobs—the elemental mob mutations that serve to protect their handlers. The only problem? Her parents are anti-Hatchamob. It doesn’t matter that she’s the most qualified girl in the village, she can’t have one and she doesn’t even get to know why. One dark and stormy night, fate has her back, and her longtime pet fox Copper accidentally becomes a Hatchamob. As her parent’s secrets begin to unravel, Ellie, her newfound friend Ridge, and their well-trained Hatchamobs, must come to the rescue. Will they be able to save her parents from their mysterious past? Will she defeat the Arena Champion to win her village’s crest? Will she be able to convince Ridge to wear actual pants? ———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— The best-selling authors of The Accidental Minecraft Family series, bring you another unofficial Minecraft adventure, that combines the world you know and love, with a new twist—the collecting and battling of Pokémon-style animal companions called Hatchamobs, complete with arena battles and crest winnings. Pixel Ate is actually a team! We’re a mom and dad, who live in the Pacific Northwest. We have five kids ages 10 all the way down to 1. We don’t like to brag, but we think our kids are pretty great. We live on a little bit of land that we’re slowly turning into a farm. We like having lots of space outside to run and play and we’re excited to fill it with some animals. Yay for goats! Everyone in our family loves reading—well, the baby loves chewing on books—so we thought, why not write our own stories? It’s super fun creating worlds and characters and adventures and even more fun when we know other people are enjoying them. Plus, it’s extra special when our kids get to help. We really did have a cat named Bruce Lee the Scar-Faced Ninja Attack Kitty From Japan (Who Smells Like Poop) who got himself into all kinds of sticky situations, but sadly, he is no longer with us. He truly was a great kitty and he truly did fart a lot. Now we have an equally great kitty named Tater Tot and she is a lot less stinky, but just as loved.
