Even though he remains a famous player, his legendary status is no more, and he is no longer under the auspices of the incredibly influential clan of the Sleepless Ones. What will Rosgard get involved in now? He obviously needs to ponder founding a clan, choosing the region of Waldyra that he favors the most as his home base. The problem, though, is that soon after the exodus of most old school heavyweight players to Zar’Graad the PKs and the fledgling Old Continent clans transformed the Lake District, which remained unattended, into a gloomy and dangerous place. He may have become the leader of a new clan, but he's lost support of the Sleepless Ones, the undisputed heavyweight champions of Waldyra, and right about this time he ran into someone who's been his sworn enemy since their days in the game's Crèche. Heroes of the Final Frontier have had war declared on them. This is bound to be a real stress test for Rosgard's entire crew. He's faced with the necessity to prove that he isn't merely a lucky guy who'd had a unique spell handed to him on a platter to make him a legend, but a serious leader in his own right, capable of holding his own even if starting from scratch is what it takes. The war was declared at an inopportune moment, since Rosgard has plenty of problems to solve right now, from recruiting for the clan to making sure enough attention is given to the upbringing of his daughter, destined to become one of Waldyra's goddesses someday. But it is in the very nature of wars to catch you unawares.

Never before did the world of Waldyra face a threat as terrible as this one. A whole continent has gone insane—and it's heading towards the Old Continent on a collision course. If the two continents collide, the whole world will shake to its very foundation, and the ensuing destruction will be unimaginable. Hideous alien monsters are coming from the sky, intent on laying waste to everything around them. The War of the Gods has already begun—more and more lives are getting sacrificed on the altar of faith every day. It is a dire time for Rosgard and his friends to make a bid for survival in a thoroughly changed Waldyra, where neither Light is an indisputably benevolent power with a fair countenance any longer, nor Darkness the supreme evil to combat unthinkingly anymore.

The world of Waldyra has been thrown into a turmoil of unprecedented scale and gravity. There are countless threats coming from every direction. The gods are at war. Continents are about to clash. Mighty ancient deities awaken—far more powerful than any of the newfangled gods. Old and new clans fight one another furiously for a place in the sun, and hideous monsters are falling from the skies, destroying every living thing in their way. The heroic Rosgard, who stands at the helm of a young but very tightly-knit clan, is not so much trying to achieve success as to survive, being inadvertently drawn into a global conflict between incredibly mighty players. Is one to walk in the Light—or cohort with the Dark? Both sides have plans for the small clan of the Heroes. Rosgard will have to make a choice that will affect the fates of many.

Angora. The legendary mystical City of the Dead whose location remains a mystery to everyone. Ancient legend has it that only the brightest souls find their final resting place in Angora—the ones that are considered worthy of an eternal afterlife. Great mages and warriors of the past, legendary alchemists, ancient kings, and terrible villains—they are all said to have found a home in the secret city of Angora after their death. But is there any truth to that myth? Or could it be that the legendary Angora had long been destroyed and fallen into oblivion with all the souls that had once lived there? That is what Rosgard and his friends intend to find out. They are about to embark on another perilous journey. This time their destination is Angora—the Great City of the Dead, once ruled by the death god Anrull before his fall from his lofty throne. And Anrull would never accept being thwarted that way. The road to the Kingdom of the Dead will be far from easy, and Rosgard is bound to run into others headed in the same direction along the way—parties that pursue their own goals, keep their own secrets, and are willing to pay any price to reach the mystical City of the Dead that lies at the sinister gates of Tantariall, the place where the overthrown gods of Waldyra remain imprisoned for eternity.

The journey to the City of the Dead continues. The maritime part of the voyage has been completed successfully. New roads, shrouded in darkness and mystery, are calling our heroes now. And it takes a very special person to survive them. After all, this is a whole different world. It follows a different set of rules. And it has different monsters…

A multitude of secret paths and trails exist in the world of Waldyra. Some of them lead to places that can only be described as "non-canonical." Those are always extremely well-concealed and almost impossible to find. Should anyone succeed in setting their foot on such a path, they'd be warned about doing it at their own peril. Orbit has found one of these secret ways. It is another trail that bypasses the grim black gates and leads directly to the divine inferno known as Tantariall. The brave heroes of the Brotherhood will see much on their journey, and some of those things will be outrageously insane. Even Orbit will have to admit that such sights had only been seen by the so-called "primers" previously—the legendary first testers of Waldyra. Obsessed with his goal, Orbit leads the heroes to an area called Purgamentum. They find themselves forced to take on the roles of the long-gone primers, and the dark underbelly of the bright world of Waldyra readily swallows up the Brotherhood of the Trail.
