Raised on stories of the glamorous world of espionage, Penelope Lynch has spent years training to follow in her departed father’s footsteps. There’s more to being a spy than training, though, and she doesn’t exactly fit the mold. She’s not some stunning and statuesque femme fatale, nor some handsome and debonair gentleman. Because of that, the closest she can get to that incredible world is the secretarial desk of Cronus, a secret agency tasked with the darkest and most dangerous missions in intelligence. From there, she gets to read all about those missions in the reports that cross her desk, but does she get to go on any of them? Not if her boss has anything to say about it. After months of waiting for her chance, an opportunity finally presents itself, two missions but only one agent available. The second mission seems meant for her, her chance to finally prove what she can do. It doesn’t matter if no one thinks she can do it or if she technically doesn’t have permission. She’s getting on that plane anyway, flying off into a world of dangerous spies and hidden weapons.
