With university just around the corner, and early acceptances pouring in, Calista Hale was as busy as teenagers got during their senior year. With striving to complete her final semester, being submerged elbows deep in dirty dish water, and maintaining a subpar social life, Cali's world was a jumbled mess of trying to survive high school. Despite the chaos, things were relatively on track, Calista had most of what she wanted figured out. What she wasn't accounting for was a tutoring proposition so late in the term. When her favourite guidance counsellor selects her to tutor a fellow student, Calista has a hard time refusing. In the end, she convinced herself that the extra sparkle to her transcript would get her where she wanted to go. But once she accepts she wishes she could throw herself back in time, before she made the mistake of agreeing to tutor Lincoln Pierce. The boy was hell-bent on avoiding her, even relying on scare tactics to push her away. And for the life of her, Calista couldn't figure out why. As she comes to realize, not everything is as plain as it seems. Lincoln Pierce is anything but plain. Incredibly infuriating, but never plain. And as it turns out, she might be his last hope.
