'A Life Lived Twice' is set in France, with a definite French flavour. Martha Burton is a strong, likeable woman who has moved abroad, leaving an eccentric, unfaithful husband behind her. Her new life in a picturesque village in south-west France brings her into contact with real people facing a variety of difficult choices. Some of the characters are unscrupulous, some honest, some downright dangerous. All have a conscience, apart from Claude Cousteau, the undertaker's son. A series of seemingly unrelated events results in a climax which is both explosive and surprising. Please note: the original title of this book was 'The Undertaker's Son'.
