I didn’t always hate Christmas. But between the forced cheer and a cheating girlfriend, I was feeling pretty bitter about the whole farce. So, when my boss insists that I not only make an appearance at the office holiday party but also help plan it, I’m fairly certain I’ve entered the ninth circle of hell. To make matters worse, I’ve been saddled with my very own Christmas elf, hell-bent on spreading her special brand of holiday cheer in her tight sweaters and hip-hugging skirts. The little tinsel terror is convinced that she can resuscitate my shriveled heart with her cocoa, cookies, and carols. She thinks she can make me love Christmas.
