Shantia can't help but to feel that those around her are making choices that seem to always end up causing her stress and pain. Her childhood friend Carmen makes one bad decision after another and after several brushes with death, she claims she changed but Shantia is skeptical. When Carmen becomes close to someone that Shantia loves, it doesn't sit well with her and when Shantia voices her opinion, it causes a rift in their friendship. A rift that may never be fixed.
