This is a story about how a stroke changed my life, and how I am overcoming the long term obstacles of aphasia, apraxia, and motor control. How my husband had this premeditation that I would have a medical problem. It all started early one morning as I was getting ready for work as a special education teacher, and I had an ischemic, emboli stroke caused by a blood clot that formed in my hole in my heart. After life-fighting me to a Pittsburgh hospital, the doctors treated me with tPA to dissolve the blood clot and save my life. This book highlights my stories of change, depression, frustration, motivation and love that I’ve experienced since January 18, 2008 - the day a stroke changed my life.
