Charlotte Sloan is now in the business of dismantling the queen’s empire, and business is good. Sloan is in a position she never dreamed possible. She’s fighting against the very city she swore to protect. If that weren’t enough she’s doing so as she makes the transition from pink skinned human to blood sucking vampire. The largest town outside of the queen’s city is Azra. Only with their aid can Sloan dream of taking down the manipulating queen she once served. But the inhabitants of Azra aren’t exactly keen on throwing in with; a recently turned vampire, a grouchy werewolf, a pint sized gnome and a mad scientist. Amidst the little things like fighting for her life and organizing a militia to take on the queen’s army of vampire soldiers, Sloan finds herself drawn to a shifter named Kade. The timing is completely wrong but what in Sloan’s world ever goes right?
