Hi, I live in Adelaide, Australia in a beachside suburb where I enjoy walks along the esplanade. My novels, Lethal Legacy and Deadly Secrets, are standalone Australian mystery suspense thriller novels with political intrigue and women amateur sleuths. My short stories have appeared in anthologies (UK, Aust & US) and magazines (UK, Canada, & US). My interest in politics, combined with my life experience, including a public service career spanning roles as diverse as Management trainer, Team Facilitator, Statistician, and Laboratory assistant, fuel my writing. I've scribbled story snippets and scenes all my life, but in 2011 I got serious and completed a Graduate Certificate in Creative Writing, at Adelaide University. I'd learned from a variety of writing courses at Writers SA and WEA over the years too. (My first degree is a Bachelor of Science (majoring in Chemistry).) My other passions are travelling, (which includes writing a travel journal and taking copious photos), live theatre, art, and of course, reading. Although my novels are set mainly in Australia (Adelaide and Sydney), my travel inspires scenes within the stories e.g. Deadly Secrets begins in Paris and moves to Normandy, Nice, and Barcelona before returning to Australia. Lethal Legacy is mainly set in Australia, but also has scenes set in Amsterdam, Milan, Como, and Santa Margherita. In March each year, I take full advantage of the Adelaide Writers' festival to discover new authors and to hear my favourites. Some of the writers I admire are Elliot Perlman, Anna Funder, John le Carré, Scott Turow, and Peter Temple.
