Huey Helene Alcaro taught a Women’s Studies course and was Director the Women’s Center at Montclair State University in NJ. She has a D. Litt. from Drew University in NJ (novel as dissertation). She has published in various journals, one story included in the Vine Leaves Anthology 2014 and another a finalist in the 2011 Glass Woman Prize. “In the Land of Two-Legged Women” is a debut novel, published in 2016 by Inanna Publications. It was a finalist in the International Book Awards 2017. She is currently writing a dystopic novel which occurs in the first half of the 21st Century.
