This book describes the adventures of 14-year old Allison ‘Electric,’ her 8-year old brother Caleb, Allison’s fat-tongued dog, and Caleb’s dead goldfish. Both youngsters wanted a pet. Unfortunately, their father wouldn’t allow it. His reason was simple: Pets made messes. And a clean, tidy house was more important to him than his children’s happiness.
