My name is Igor Shnayder, and I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Odesa, Ukraine. Since childhood, I’ve been fascinated by fairy tales. As I grew up, this love turned into a passion for fantasy, science fiction, and classic historical literature. Those stories inspired me to dream about creating my own worlds and characters. I studied maritime engineering and worked for 15 years as a marine engineer on merchant ships. At the same time, I never let go of another passion—photography. For more than 14 years I’ve been capturing landscapes and turning them into photobooks. As an author, I write children’s books that carry the values I try to pass on to my own kids: kindness, love, courage, wisdom, friendship, and compassion. My first published story, about a brave kitten-knight named Mur, reflects these ideas and invites readers into a magical world full of imagination and heartwarming lessons. Whether I’m writing stories or creating photobooks, my goal is simple—to inspire and to bring a little joy. I hope my work finds a place in your own adventures.
