La guerra travolge la valle di Verdepiano. Gli abitanti di Fairy Oak organizzano la difesa, ma il dubbio avvelena i loro animi: il Nemico è riuscito a insinuarsi tra le gemelle? L'Antica Alleanza tra Luce e Buio è spezzata? Nonostante l'affetto di Vaniglia, Pervinca è costretta a fuggire ed è allora che il Nemico sferra l'ultimo attacco. Le mura di Fary Oak sembrano resistere, ma il Signore del Buio ha in serbo una sorpresa che sconvolge gli assediati. Forse però non tutto è come appare. Si conclude con questo terzo episodio il lungo racconto di Felì, la piccola fata luminosa che veglia sulle streghe gemelle di Fairy Oak.
