This vintage book contains the record of a journey from London to the Quantock Hills - on a bicycle. A wonderful account of traveling around the majestic landscape of England, this is a book that will appeal to lovers of nature and travel writing, and is a veritable must-read for fans of Edward Thomas' beautiful work. The chapters of this volume include: In Search of Spring, The Start: London to Guildford, Guildford to Dunbridge, From Dunbridge over Salisbury Plain, Three Wessex Poets, Trowbridge to Shepton Mallet, Shepton Mallet to Bridgewater, Bridgewater to the Sea, et cetera. Many antiquarian books such as this are increasingly hard-to-come-by and expensive, and it is with this in mind that we are republishing this volume now in an affordable, modern edition - complete with a specially commissioned new biography of the author.
