Endowed with mystical powers, young Zanne takes a journey in search of the mysterious "daymaker" in order to become a full-fledged covenor.

Zanne, a young covenanted magician, battles the remnants of a former technological civilization that are corrupting a mining community

Continuing the adventures that began in "The Daymaker", and "Transformations", Zanne is sent on another mission by the Thirteen Guardians on Inland. Accompanied by her friend Holne she sets off across the sea to the land of Magia, to discover what it is the Magians are up to.
