Sloane I’d like to say life’s a joke, but that might make it sound like it's funny. Life has chewed me up and spit me out ever since I was a kid, and I’ve just become indifferent to it all. Until I got shot. I woke up in a cage, taken by an inhumanly gorgeous man who’s irritatingly cryptic and short-tempered. I don’t know what he plans to do with me, but I’m going to escape his apartment before he does the unspeakable, and get back to my boring, lonely life. After all, I like it that way. Right? Blending in amongst the humans isn’t challenging for a demon like me, so I walk silent, constantly pushing down my dastardly urges and hiding in plain sight. Until her. That bullet in her shoulder may not have ended her life, but it took the one she knew. She doesn’t belong in the Underworld, and it might just take all I have to keep her from a life in Hades’ grasp… if I can keep my hands off of her long enough to focus.
