I worked in a solicitor's office for nearly twenty seven years, before finally deciding that enough was enough. I now work part time as a secretary and during the summer season I'm also a guide in a castle. I have always been interested in languages and literature and encouraged by a couple of friends I decided to write my first novel, "McArthur's Country House Hotel", which I self-published on with Amazon in 2014. My second novel, "The Stuffed Giraffe's Head" also appeared on Amazon in March this year. One of my short stories, "The Choirboy" was chosen as a winner in a competition run jointly by Chichester Independent Authors and the Chichester Observer. It has been included in their anthology, "Write Across Sussex" which is available on Amazon. I have also self-published two collections of short supernatural stories on Amazon "Tombstoning" and "Black Shadow." Some of my historical articles have also appeared in local newspapers and magazines. In my spare time I love cooking and photography.
