
Jake Warner is the co-founder and long term publisher of Nolo, America’s leading publisher of consumer law materials. He is the author of a number of Nolo titles on tenants’ rights, marriage and divorce law, and the legal rights of unmarried couples. WillMaker, the bestselling software program he helped design, has allowed millions of Americans to create their own wills and living trusts without the cost of hiring a lawyer. Coming of Age in Berkeley is Warner’s second novel. His first, Murder On the Air, was widely and favorably reviewed, including on page 1 of the San Francisco Chronicle book review section. Warner is also the author of a series of children’s adventure tales published by TallTales Audio including Clem, the Detective Dog and Rainbow of the Sioux which received coveted starred reviews in Children’s Library Journal. Warner has appeared on numerous T.V. shows including Good Morning America, The Today Show and the P.B.S. Newshour. He has been interviewed in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal and the L.A. Times to mention just a few prominent publications. In its 2007 centennial edition The California Alumni Magazine included Warner in its all time list of Berkeley luminaries. Warner is a graduate of Princeton University and Berkeley Law (U.C. Berkeley law school). He is married to Toni Ihara and lives in Berkeley and Sonoma CA.
