
James McCrone is the author of the Faithless Elector series, which features FBI Agent and Elections Specialist, Imogen Trager—Faithless Elector (2016), Dark Network (2017), and Emergency Powers (2020) — “taut” and “gripping” political thrillers about a stolen presidency. His new thriller, BASTARD VERDICT, is set in Scotland against a second referendum on Scottish Independence. McCrone's short fiction has most recently appeared in Low Down Dirty Vote, vols. 2 and 3; Rock and a Hard Place (Winter/#7); and in Retreats from Oblivion: The Journal of NoirCon. A Pacific Northwest native (mostly), he now makes his home in South Philadelphia with his wife and three children. He’s a member of the Sisters in Crime network, Mystery Writers of America, International Association of Crime writers, Int'l Thriller Writers and Philadelphia Dramatists Center. He has an MFA from the University of Washington, in Seattle.
