In addition to her memoir, published in June 2024, Jane Gallagher's work has appeared in a number of small literary journals since she retired in 2016 from nonprofit development consulting to New England's nonprofit organizations working to address social and environmental injustice at local, state and regional levels. Her essay, Trees and Me, an adapted excerpt from her memoir, will appear in the summer 2025 issue of Canary Literary Magazine. A mother of two and grandmother of three, she holds a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from Carleton College in Minnesota and an M.A. in Urban and Environmental Policy from Tufts University in Massachusetts. When not writing or reading, you might find her caring for house, home and flower gardens with her beloved husband, hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, or on some lucky days enthusiastically playing imaginary games with her grandchildren.
