I'm a Canadian mother and grandmother with a passion for writing. I've been lucky enough to receive a number of awards in different genres including the Zoetrope short fiction award and the Moondance Film Festival award for an animated screenplay. I'm a recipient of a Canada Council Grant for my efforts in the short story genre. Years ago, I was the happy owner of a modest bookstore, where I spent endless hours reading on the slow days, (of which there were far too many) and writing my own stories on the other slow days! I love to entertain children and I believe there is nothing so fine as a book that can make you smile. I live with my husband and my dog, Rufus, in Ontario where we keep watch over a wetland conservation area.
