Jason Charles is a London-based writer. He first made his name in 2006 when his play Steam sold out the White Bear Theatre in London, before being revived the following year at London's Barons Court Theatre. 2007 also saw the production of his play Rupture at London’s Kings Head Theatre, and in 2008 his play Counterfeit Skin brought in the punters at London’s Courtyard Theatre. He had two more of his plays produced in 2009, Estranged and Beyond Flesh and Blood, and the following year he rewrote the Hungarian musical Better Than Sex for the London stage. 2014 saw his words crossing the seas when Estranged opened at the Tap Gallery Theatre in Sydney. The Claws of Time is his first novel. In 2018 he published an anthology of his short stories and poems entitled The Flesh of God, and the following year he published his play Throne of Thorns about Richard III becoming the King of England after his brother's death in 1483.
