Jean Madsen Hollands was a corporate legend. She was a corporate consultant. During her successful career she won numerous awards, including a California award for her contributions in the field of literature. She was named Woman of the Year as well as the Business Owner of the Year. She was a featured on numerous TV programs and appeared in various print media as the business expert. She began her career as an IBM computer programmer but later earned a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from San Jose State University. Her corporate popularity grew with the launch of her first book titled "Silicon Syndrome: How to Survive a High Tech Relationship". Another book titled "Same Game/Different Rules", stirred a national debate on the role of women in business. She served on many non-profit boards until her retirement, where she began her fictional novel career, while consulting with former clients from her business career. She suffered a stroke and passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016 at El Camino Hospital.
