Jean-Lorin Sterian is a writer, film director and anthropologist. He has published Antume, an collection of essays (Herg Benet, 2011) novel Lorgean (Polirom, 2007) and short stories Postume (Amaltea, 2002), The Writer Goes Hunting (ProLogos, 2001), Baltazar and Hazard (Metafora, 1997). He has also directed the documentaries: Gay (2006) and The Playback Lesson (2007) and Smaller and Smaller Italy (2010). In 2008 he won DramAcum contest with the play Three in the Bench. He worked as a volunteer in Morroco in 2005. In 2008 he created the lorgean theatre – “a theatre of intimate spaces” in his own flat in Bucharest.
