While I was born in Pittsburgh my parents moved to Southern California when I was one year old. I lived there until I joined the Air Force and served for 20 years. In the Air Force I served as an optician and briefly as an Air Force Recruiter. As a Recruiter I exposed the Air Force for discriminating against women in recruiting practices. This involved Senator Kennedy, Congressman Barney Frank, the Boston Herald and several television news stations. There is a brief fictional account of this event in my latest novel. "MY FAITH IS NOT FOR SALE". As an optician later in my career I also exposed the Air Force for knowingly using defective gas masks in the first gulf war. Somehow I managed to survive for 20 years and I have worked for FEMA and currently own my own insurance agency. My passion for writing and woman's issues led to my latest book.
