Jenny Allen, the author of The Lilith Adams Series, also published several poems and short stories in University journals while spending time as a reporter and photographer for the Chattanooga State College newspaper. Ms. Allen studied forensic science, compiled extensive research in world myths, and applied them to a thrilling supernatural series. Her background as a published photographer and award-winning artist helps her visualize scenes when writing, contributing to her unique style of vivid imagery. Born on a Royal Airbase in Lakenheath, England, she left the U.K. at age nine to travel the United States and Germany. In her Sophomore year, she began writing poetry after the suicide of a close friend in San Antonio, Texas. She later graduated to short stories and narratives until, in 2002, she wrote her first novel, Lilith in London, which was never published but still exists as 432 handwritten pages. Over twelve years, it underwent a metamorphosis, eventually becoming her first published novel, Blood Lily. Currently, Ms. Allen lives in York, Pennsylvania with her husband, Eric Deardorff, and their two sons, Kaidan and River. When not working as a full-time RN, she is writing the fourth book in the series, Ghost Orchid. She plans to continue her book series while pursuing her medical career. “More than anything, I wanted to challenge the concept of reality and the supernatural while truly digging into the emotional grit of tragedy. I often began writing with a clear goal in mind, but the characters swayed me in different directions. I’ve fallen in love with the ways they’ve developed and grown over the first three books, and I look forward to discovering the surprises they have in store for me in the future.”
