Born in LaVeta Colorado and still a mountain boy at heart, though living in the flatlands. Taught American Literature at the University of Kansas for many years, retired and discovered my true calling—writing darkly comic mysteries. Father of two, grandfather of nine, great-grandfather of one, all of whom keep life surprising, interesting, and sometimes dumbfounding.
