Jesse Normandin was born in New Egypt, New Jersey, and spent his childhood years bouncing around New Jersey, Louisiana, and Arkansas. He was incarcerated in Louisiana at sixteen and went in and out of various correctional facilities over the next ten years. At twenty-six he was released early from prison after earning his GED, taking his ACT test, and completing numerous rehabilitative and skilled trade programs. After his release, he successfully completed his parole, graduated from college, and got married. Jesse's debut, UNGOVERNABLE, is a collection of autobiographical poems and vignettes. Aside from writing, Jesse's interests include powerlifting, astronomy, and volunteer work. He lives in Bossier City, Louisiana, with his wife and four sons.
