
Jill Diana Chasse is a pregnancy counselor and maternal/perinatal wellness consultant. She has been working with the mother-baby dyad in birth and psychology for over 20 years. She is the founder of "Baby-Empowered Birthing Education" (BEBE) and the founder/director of Magic of Motherhood Publishing Services. Jill Chasse was certified in 1996 for counseling and hypnosis for childbirth by the International Association for Counselors and Therapists (IACT) and has since been working with families to prepare for birth and parenthood. She has received training and a certificate as a Birth Assistant, trained as a birth doula with CAPPA, and is currently studying midwifery with IHM and working as an intern midwife between birth psychology and health administration. She is a member of Childbirth & Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA), the American Psychological Association (APA), Maryland Friends of Midwives (MFM) and Chesapeake Midwifery Guild (CMG). She is the founder/moderator of the Perinatal Psychology group an outreach project of BEPE-East, with professional members and leaders in the field from all over the world. Dr. Chasse has conducted lectures, led discussions, published numerous articles, and written several books, including Baby Magic which has sold in 8 countries. Jill focuses on the mother-baby relationship before birth, working with the parents to stimulate brain development and bonding. She also teaches classes and workshops in childbirth education, early parenting, grief and bereavement, perinatal mood issues, and relationship counseling. She has done research and had clinical time in maternal mental wellness and currently works with mothers for emotional support during the perinatal period.
