The story of Jim the Wonder Dog (1925-1937), a Lewellin English setter owned by Samuel VanArsdale of Marshall, Missouri. Jim allegedly was able to pick out colors on a person's clothing (even though dogs are color-blind); find a car by its owner, color, make, or license plate; identify different trees and plants; and pick out the right message on a scrap of paper, even if it was written in a language other than English.
