My fourth novel, Five Wives, is a fictional dive into an real event that astonished me. It recently won the 2019 Governor General's Award for Fiction. My previous books have been nominated for the ScotiaBank Giller Prize, the Governor General's Award, and the IMPAC International Dublin Literary Award. I live in Winnipeg.
