Hi! I am a poet/ memoirist/ teacher/ editor. Former K12 librarian and teacher trainer. Looking forward to a Hedgebrook retreat in Spring 2019 to continue work on my memoir exploring family separation and mixed-race identify. Proposal in the works. I served as Delaware's poet laureate 2008-2015, and adjunct instructor of poetry writing at Univ. Delaware (Fall 2018). As an advocate for arts-in-education, I coordinate the state Poetry Out Loud program, and offer teaching artist residencies in K12 schools. As a writer I write every day! Onward ;-)
