Joanne Monte is the author of a poetry collection, "The Blue Light of Dawn" which received the Bordighera Poetry Book Award and was published in 2013 by the Bordighera Press. Many of her poems have been published in literary journals. She has received several awards which include the John David Johnson Memorial Poetry Award, The Iva Mary Williams Inspirational Poetry Award, and the Black Bear Review Award. In addition to being a Pushcart nominee, she has had poems judged as a finalist and semi-finalist for the Princemere Poetry Award, the Jack Grapes Poetry Award, Palette Poetry Award, Sheila-Na-gig Award, New Millennium Award for Poetry, and the Writer’s Digest Award. She is the author of a novel, "The Day to Eternity," a romance set during the Korean War.
