John J. Gaynard is from the West of Ireland, with roots both in Galway and Mayo. Living in Paris since the 1970s, he as worked extensively in Africa (mostly the French speaking countries), the Middle East, Eastern Europe and the United States. Speaking French equally as well, worse or better than he speaks English he manages to survive in spite of having a tendency to complicate matters verbally. 'Nobody I Know' is his fifth novel.
