John R. McCormick was born in South Boston, MA, and has lived in various parts of the US before landing in Martin, TN with his wife and son. He is proud of his 'writers' lineage, as he is a distant relative to Liam O'Flaherty, who happens to also have been related to the famous filmmaker, John Ford. He is comfortable in a variety of genres, including Crime Fiction, Urban Fantasy, Detective, and Historical Westerns. He recently did a podcast interview with Mark Tierno of MALDENE website, in regards to his fantasy stories, "In The Shadow Of Evil," and "Hot Jazz & Cold Bodies in NOLA." I am currently writing a detective story set in Maine.
