Hi, I'm Jon. I'm an Amazon best-selling author, writing coach and editor. I write thrillers, historical/visionary fantasy and sci fi books. And today, I'm giving a 5-chapter sneak preview of one away! Just go here: http://jonreisfeld.weebly.com to get your FREE preview of the First 50 pages of The Reform Artists—my legal-suspense / spy thriller, published on January 5, 2016. Now, if you're REALLY interested in learning more about me, here's my version of a Dewar's Profile: Most dare-devil moment: skydiving for the first time (almost ended up impaled on a tree.) Shakiest moment: Thirty-odd seconds in August, 2011, when I experienced my first 5.6 earthquake ... in Baltimore! Most light-headed moment: Standing in the hospital delivery room, watching as doctors performed an emergency C-section on my wife to save her life and to deliver our son, who was born 10-weeks premature. (I sat down before it was over, way before it was over!) Stupidest moment: I don't know where to begin ... Earliest entrepreneurial activity: At age 3, showing my sister's baby tooth to guests at my aunt and uncle's wedding and encouraging them to donate to my newly created 'tooth fairy' fund. Earliest life lesson: Being forced, by my parents, to split the tooth-fairy fund "proceeds" with my sister one week later. (That's how long it took them to pry the envelope containing all the money out of my hot little hands!) Formal Bio: A graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, (where they taught him NOT to back into sentences!) Jon has worked, most of his adult life, in journalism, corporate communications, advertising and marketing. Early in his career, Jon would do almost anything in pursuit of a good story, including jumping out of a plane and spending a weekend on a houseboat with with an alleged hitman/police informant and his girlfriend. (Nowadays, he prefers to get his kicks by putting his characters in awkward situations.) Several years ago, he co-founded a writer's retreat, in New England, where he coached scores of authors on how to prepare their manuscripts for publication and where he provided feedback to many more, who were at various stages with their books. Today, Jon lives in rural Maryland, writes historical fantasy/visionary books, thrillers and sci-fi; provides book coaching and editorial services to authors; and pursues his interests in cosmology, chaos theory, technology, history, anthropology, economics, politics and social justice. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, walking, cycling and attending plays and new movie openings. Jon's next major fiction project, currently in development, is a sci-fi trilogy set on earth and spanning "several hundred years" of human history. (Aliens not included.) Jon also is in the planning stages for the second and third books in the Reform Artists series!
