During World War II, Jonah Kalb served in the Merchant Marine and during the Korean War he was in the U.S. Army where he coached the All Army Softball Championship team in 1953 at Fort Lee, Va. Mr. Kalb was the quintessential entrepreneur. He was the author of seven children books, screenwriter for early television, president of an advertising agency, inventor of a game and a greeting card line and consultant to many diverse industries. The job he probably enjoyed most of all was that of a Little League coach in Lexington in the early 70’s.
