Judi Thompson grew up in El Paso, Texas and moved to Houston with her husband Roger in the 1980's. She has two sons and seven grandchildren and enjoys living in the Bayou City. She is proud to be a native Texan and enjoys the rich history and diverse cultures of the state. Judi has been interested in writing since her early teens and published her first poem in the school paper while in high school, but was unable to pursue her passion until recently. "I've always carried stories around in my head, imagining scenes and scenarios. I thought I might be a little bit crazy until I read that one of my favorite authors did the same thing. " Judi retired from a rewarding career in education as a speech language pathologist, educational diagnostician and special education supervisor. Since retiring, she and her sister Charlene Tess have written several novels under the pseudonym Tess Thompson combining their two last names. She and her sister are currently collaborating on their next book.
