Julia wrote her first BDSM novel at age 13, before she knew there was a name for it. "Solange" circulated first amongst a selected group of friends, and amongst a wider group after Julia's younger sister sneaked it out to a pajama party. It eventually met its undeserved end at the bottom of the garbage chute, during a fit of Catholic guilt. After an adolescence plagued by the typical teenage angst, she studied Spanish Literature and got a teaching license. Following a brief career teaching elementary school, she immigrated to Canada in her mid-twenties. She has worked as an ESL teacher, a baker, a volunteer firefighter, a post office clerk, and a bank teller. She lists her current occupation as “corporate drone”. An Ipad won at a writing contest introduced her to the wonderful world of e-books, readers and self-publishing. It was around the same time when she discovered the yaoi genre and abandoned any pretences of writing the Great Canadian Novel. After a few trials, tests and tribulations, she decided to send her creatures out into the world. When she is not reading or writing, Julia enjoys watching period movies, hiking, honing her digital skills, and the odd visit to the big city in her endless quest for amazing shoes and good times. Julia currently lives in Northern British Columbia, Canada.
