Julianne Jones was born and raised in the beautiful Hunter Valley of New South Wales, the inspiration behind many of her novels, and grew up hearing stories about the early settlers from her paternal grandmother. Julianne is a wife, mother of five, grandmother, and early childhood teacher, and divides her time between family, writing, teaching, playing the piano and flute, and various handicrafts. In 1996 Julianne and her family moved to New Zealand where they have enjoyed numerous outdoor pursuits. Julianne has been in love with words as long as she can remember. She has adopted John 20:31 as her writing motto: “But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His Name.”
