Part of Series

Enid Becker did all the right things. She went to college, graduated, and got a job right away. She moved to another state and thought she was living the dream. Then, she got laid off and had to move back home and in with her parents. She decides that going to grad school might help her find a better job, but she’s not happy about feeling like she has to start over. Caroline Timothy is a college junior who doesn’t want to be in college. Her parents have given her strict instructions, though, so she decides to take some summer classes in order to graduate on time. A budding artist, she hates the classroom and doesn’t see the point in going to school. A chance meeting at a bar, followed by running into each other at a career fair, has Enid wondering if losing that job and returning home was the best thing that could have happened, after all, because it led her to the creative, smart, and funny Caroline Timothy, whom she can’t keep off her mind. With both of them feeling lost on their own, together, they discover that they’re right where they should be.
