K. Lucius Boyd is a poet and jazz musician. Kirkus Reviews describes his writing as, "Page after page, Boyd offers a compilation of evocative and graceful poetry." He is a native of the South. His poetry is focused on creating the awareness to continue our emerging journeys. His debut book of poetry, Grasshopper Dreams, was published in 2023. He earned a BA in Psychology and an MA in Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota. He is a student in the UCLA Extension Creative Writing Program studying under Miguel Murphy (Blue Linx Prize) and others. He is a member of the State of Florida Poets Association, the Florida Writers Association, the Academy of American Poets and the Poetry Society of America.
