Born in Fort Worth and raised in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Karen Bogen is one of the proverbial Native Texans. She began writing at the tender age of seven. Even then, she'd already chosen writing as a career; she just didn't know it yet. It took over four years for her subconscious to convince her. Between bouts of "writing fever," Karen found time to earn a degree in Computer Science Engineering and raise a family. She currently lives in the Fort Worth-Arlington area with her husband, David; two sons, Jody and Sean; three cats; a rabbit; and an odd number of houseplants.
