K.A. Vanderhoef is the author of the Dreamborn Trilogy. The first two books of this YA sci-fantasy series, A Dance of Storm and Starlight, and Come the Mists of Chaos, were released on Amazon in 2021. Phantoms of Time and Tide, the third (and final) installment, was released in September of 2022. Ms. Vanderhoef grew up in Rockland County, New York. She spent a good portion of her childhood exploring imaginary worlds co-created with her triplet sisters or otherwise found between the pages of a book. She first fell in love with science-fiction / fantasy upon reading A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle as a child, and her all-time favorite series include Harry Potter, Red Rising, and Ender's Game. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Quinnipiac University and a law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law. She started writing speculative fiction and poetry while in law school, and her love for creative writing has only increased during her years working as an attorney. She currently lives in a peaceful lake community in New Jersey with her cat, Moxie.
