Karen lives in sunny Perth, Western Australia. She is a mother of two wonderful teenagers and a fluffy cat. She works as an editor and proofreader, copywriter and ghostwriter. She has been writing for many years but published her first novel, a fantasy called 'The King's Voice' in 2015 after a gestation of 6 long years. These things take time! Karen is pursuing a creative life and is now writing a completely different set of stories about a hairdresser. In this quirky funny series of cozy mysteries, the big-hearted Sylvia is sent on missions all over the world. One day she may write a follow-up novel to 'The King's Voice'. Originally from the south of England, Karen spent several years traveling the globe before settling in Sydney in 2000 and then moving to Perth in 2009.
